Hot IQs saying goodbye.
Hello Friends,
Well, this is it! It was a hard decision, but we’ve decided that this is
the end of the road for Hot IQs. Never in our wildest dreams did we think
this little band from Denver would make it much further than our first show
at the Hipster Youth Halfway House. Alas, the past five years have been
nothing short of amazing: We’ve recorded and released music we’re very proud
of, toured the country many times over, and shared the stage with some of
our all-time favorite bands in our most favorite venues. Most importantly,
along the way we’ve met so many wonderful people. Really, we couldn’t have
done any of it without you. Thank you all so very, very much!
You’ve helped make this little musical endeavor so much fun and a great
source of joy and inspiration for us. We thank you from the bottom of our
hearts. From the cockels of our hearts, if you will.
To show you our appreciation, our farewell show at the Bluebird will be
FREE (for 21+). The show is also all ages! Please come out and say goodbye.

Ah, the new year: Jan 2, 2008
We have much to be thankful for and much to look forward to. New songs are coming along nicely. And judging from the pencil marks on our kitchen wall, we've grown about an inch taller since last year.

bluebird theater show Dec. 22
We are very excited for our upcoming Holiday show. We've been slightly jealous of bands like Arcade Fire and Of Montreal, what with their 10-member ensembles. recording update
Many have called the release of our second full length the "Chinese Deomocracy of Indie Rock." Well, maybe it's because we've had a title for the release for a while (Officially: Follow the Architecture)...or they say that because Bryan loves to slim into some tight black leather pants. Either way, work on Follow the Architecture has commenced. We are about half done. We're thrilled with the new songs. Come see us live for a pretty hefty preview. Uneven Studio

Monolith festival
Watching a Flaming Lips show from any angle is a treat. Red Rocks is icing on the cake. But wathcing it from backstage where grown adults in furry costumes dance until they pass out is bliss. Oh yeah, we played this thing too! Our set was jam packed. Thanks to those that came out to support. This will no doubt be the start of something grand for Monolith and all Colorado music!
